Special Counsel John Durham, who reviewed the investigation of former President Donald Trump’s ties to Russia, issued a scathing final report on how the FBI launched and carried out its case.
The FBI’s investigation, known as “Crossfire Hurricane“, lasted nearly a year after the 2016 presidential election and accused Trump’s campaign of “either wittingly or unwittingly” coordinating with the Russian government’s attempts to interfere in the election.
Durham’s report concluded authorities did not have sufficient information to open the case in the first place.
“The objective facts show that the FBI’s handling of important aspects of the Crossfire Hurricane matter were seriously deficient,” Durham wrote, saying the FBI relied on “raw, unanalyzed, and uncorroborated intelligence.”
“As the more complete record now shows, there are specific areas of Crossfire Hurricane activity in which the FBI badly underperformed and failed, not only in its duties to the public, but also in preventing the severe reputational harm that has befallen the FBI as a consequence of Crossfire Hurricane,” Durham wrote.
“Importantly, had the Crossfire Hurricane actors faithfully followed their own principles regarding objectivity and integrity, there were clear opportunities to have avoided the mistakes and to have prevented the damage resulting from their embrace of seriously flawed information that they failed to analyze and assess properly,” he continued.
A key note in the report is the FBI’s inability to corroborate any of the notorious Steele Dossier, yet it was used as a basis for warrants and to continue the investigation.

Trump posted to his Truth Social platform shortly after the report was issued.
“WOW! After extensive research, Special Counsel John Durham concludes the FBI never should have launched the Trump-Russia Probe! In other words, the American Public was scammed, just as it is being scammed right now by those who don’t want to see GREATNESS for AMERICA!” Trump wrote.
Representative Jim Jordan (R-OH), chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, tweeted that he reached out to Durham to testify about the results of his report next week.

I watched a clip from MSNBC and the so called journalist threw the report on the table and said it is total garbage. They stated “it didn’t reveal anything we didn’t already know”. They tried to downplay the report. We did already know that the Steele Dossier was bogus and the FBI lied, but now it is verified and written in stone.
It is a great report that absolutely vindicates President Trump. But as always anything related to President Trump has to be put into a bad light by the Main Stream Media. So very sad and corrupt.
Good idea, but the Criminals are still in charge,no way to do it YET.
As usual, those responsible will just be promoted. And our Dear Leaders will continue on in their usual “any means justify the ends we want” namely their drive to amass power and wealth at the expense of the taxpayers and to the detriment of the safety and security of the United States.
Comey, McCabe, and Strzok were all fired. This report doesn’t help their attempts to rehabilitate themselves…
I for one, thought Durham would die in his sleep before he let us in on the results.
