The public was wondering: where’s Melania?
The former First Lady has not done much campaigning on behalf of her husband because her mother had been ill and sadly passed away.
Melania is now back on the trail and gearing up for the general election in November, writes Politico.
The former first lady is set to hold her first major political event of the year — a fundraiser for the Log Cabin Republicans on April 20 at Mar-a-Lago, the Palm Beach, Florida, club where she and former president Donald Trump live, according to an invitation obtained by POLITICO.
Melania Trump has long maintained a close relationship with the Log Cabin Republicans, which describes itself as “ the nation’s largest Republican organization dedicated to representing LGBT conservatives and allies.” In 2021, she was the special guest at a dinner the organization hosted at Mar-a-Lago, where she was given an award. The former president himself spoke at an event the organization hosted at the club in 2022.
The April event is the launch for the organization’s “Road to Victory” program, which plans to target voters in swing states.
Last month, Melania Trump said “ stay tuned” when asked by a reporter when she would return to the campaign trail. The ex-first lady made the remarks while attending, with her husband, a wake for a slain New York City police officer.
Melania has long been a popular surrogate for Donald Trump and Team MAGA having her back will only be an asset.
The New York Times writes that “the fund-raiser for the Log Cabin Republicans, a group of L.G.B.T. conservatives, will still keep her largely out of the public eye. The group’s president, Charles T. Moran, said that Richard Grenell, Mr. Trump’s former ambassador to Germany, was also set to appear.
Mrs. Trump has maintained ties to the Log Cabin Republicans for years. In a financial disclosure last year, she reported receiving a $250,000 payment from the group in December 2022. On Twitter that month, the group posted a photo saying she was the special guest at a ‘private dinner” and thanking her for “continuing the projects she worked on while in the White House.’”
Melania’s last major public appearance came when she attended the funeral of one of her predecessors, Rosalynn Carter, last November.

Love Melania….but not really supportive of something that is an abomination to God…LGBT. I will be praying that this organization will cease to exist. It has no place in a nation under God. For Christians we cannot sit on the fence in reference to the subject of homosexuality…..God says that He will spew us out of His mouth if we are lukewarm in our faith. BE BEST Melania! Don’t be pressured into doing this, knowing it goes against your faith.
