Hillary Clinton Blames Women For Her Not Being President

Hillary Clinton will never get over missing a layup to become president, first in 2008 and then in 2016.

Earlier this month, she appeared on MSNBC and reiterated her claim that the 2016 election was stolen from her. This time, instead of attributing her loss to not campaigning in Wisconsin, she argued that Donald Trump defeated her by trying to suppress negative stories about himself, a move that every single person who has ever run for office, including Hillary and her husband Bill, have done in every election ever.

“The one that is going on now currently in New York is really about election interference,” Clinton said on MSNBC earlier in the month. “It is about trying to prevent the people of our country from having relevant information that may have influenced how they could have voted in 2016 or whether they would have voted.”

The Hill writes that after weeks of getting eye rolls, Clinton has moved her blame game on to a different target to blame: women.

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton reflected on her 2016 presidential campaign, saying in a recent interview that female voters deserted her in the last days of the campaign because she was “not perfect.”

“They left me because they just couldn’t take a risk on me, because as a woman, I’m supposed to be perfect,” Clinton said in an interview with The New Times, published Saturday. “They were willing to take a risk on [former President Trump] — who had a long list of, let’s call them flaws, to illustrate his imperfection — because he was a man, and they could envision a man as president and commander in chief.”

Clinton wasn’t the only one to share that sentiment during the 2016 election cycle, when the former first lady lost to Trump. Several of her allies described a sexist double standard on the campaign trail, saying she dealt with questions and criticisms that male candidates would not face.

“Is there a double standard? One hundred percent times 100 percent,” Tracy Sefl, a Democratic consultant and Clinton surrogate, said at the time. “And God forbid if she coughs.”

Hillary has been making the circuit to discuss her forthcoming book, “The Fall of Roe: The Rise of a New America.”

If book sales are not up to snuff, it will likely be everyone else’s fault.
