Chuck Norris announced devastating news on social media on Friday. The “Walker Texas Ranger” actor and famous conservative revealed his mother, Wilma, has died at the age of 103.
The Daily Caller writes that the “Expendables” star posted a heartfelt message about his mother on Instagram.
“Wednesday morning, my brother Aaron and I’s wonderful mother went home to be with Jesus,” the famous martial artist and actor wrote on social media. She was 103 years old.
“Our mom was a woman of unwavering faith, a beacon of light in our lives, and her love reflected God’s grace,” he said as he paid tribute to her online. Norris recalled fond memories from his childhood days. “Growing up, her laughter filled our home with joy, and her hugs provided a sense of safety that we will forever cherish.”
Norris’ heartfelt post shows Norris and his mother sitting in chairs while leaning toward the camera for the photo. The sweet family moment showed Wilma’s hand resting on her son’s arm. Other images in the gallery showed her solo, as well as surrounded by loved ones over the years.
“She had a remarkable way of making everyone feel special, often putting the needs of others before her own,” Norris wrote.

Last year, Norris celebrated his mom’s birthday on Facebook, writing that she was “so full of life that she might make it another 100 years!”
He added that he was “overwhelmed with gratitude to God” for his mother and “wouldn’t be the man I am” without her, noted The New York Post.
In 2011, Wilma Norris Knight published an autobiography titled Acts of Kindness: My Story, where she recounted pivotal moments from her life and shared stories of her son’s upbringing. To promote the book, she appeared on former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee’s Fox News show, reaching a broad audience with her inspiring narrative.
Born on May 24, 1921, in Wilson, Oklahoma, Wilma faced a challenging early life marked by hardship. “She was raised in abject poverty, and she was given away as a ward of the state when she was only 8 years old,” her son, Chuck Norris, wrote in a 2021 article for World Net Daily. During this time, she lived in a children’s hospital for two years, receiving treatment for a rare disease, separated from her family.
