The FBI said Wednesday that Operation Summer Heat has produced more than 4,000 arrests and 1,500 indictments over the past two months, marking another major enforcement push as President Donald Trump follows through on his administration’s tough-on-crime agenda.
The nationwide initiative, now in its second year, has also resulted in the seizure of more than 2,500 weapons and 3,300 kilograms of cocaine during the same period, according to a report by Just The News.
Week after week, FBI teams across the country remain committed to confronting the most egregious threats. In the last two months, Operation Summer Heat has resulted in over:

In a statement posted on Twitter, the FBI said agents and other personnel remain focused on confronting serious threats across the country.
“Week after week, FBI teams across the country remain committed to confronting the most egregious threats. All the efforts coming from our agents, intelligence analysts, and support staff directly support our mission to be a trusted partner to the nation.
“We all joined the bureau with the same dedication in mind. Operations like Summer Heat demonstrate that commitment every day.”
The latest enforcement actions included the arrests last week of three members of the Mexican Mafia who had been convicted of murder in 2023, as well as a member of the Houston street gang known as the Rich Kings.
The results add to a broader federal crackdown on crime under Trump. On Tuesday, the FBI announced that more than 6,600 people had been arrested in Washington, D.C., over the past year under its Safe and Beautiful initiative.
Trump has made restoring law and order a central theme of his presidency, repeatedly promising a more aggressive federal response to violent crime, gangs and drug trafficking.
Operation Summer Heat was also conducted last year, when authorities said it led to the arrests of more than 8,000 dangerous criminals. The latest figures suggest the administration and FBI are continuing that enforcement-heavy approach into the initiative’s second year.
