Beni Rae Harmony to Join Trump White House Press Team

Beni Rae Harmony, a 24-year-old White House correspondent for Real America’s Voice, is joining the Trump administration as an assistant press secretary, TMZ reported Friday, citing sources with direct knowledge. She is expected to start Monday.

TMZ reported that President Donald Trump wanted Harmony on his communications team after she became a regular member of the White House press pool. She traveled with Trump to Ireland, and he was photographed in September carrying papers with what appeared to be her name printed at the top. Trump has not yet named a permanent replacement for former Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, according to TMZ.

White House Principal Deputy Press Secretary Anna Kelly praised Harmony’s appointment in a statement to TMZ: “Beni Rae Harmony has been a trusted voice for the MAGA movement as a White House correspondent. She will be an outstanding addition to President Trump’s communications team as an Assistant Press Secretary – we look forward to having her on board!”

Harmony joined Real America’s Voice in September 2025 after leaving a news-anchor job in Springfield, Illinois, where she had been suspended following an emotional on-air tribute to Charlie Kirk after his killing.

The appointment comes as the administration continues to face disputes with news organizations over White House press access; CNN, MS NOW and Politico sued Trump and administration officials after being barred from the White House, TMZ reported.
