One of basketball’s sensations will not be representing the Red, White, and Blue at the Olympic this summer and it looks like jealously is playing a major role.
Despite being one of the best players in the WNBA and the greatest college player of all time, Caitlin Clark will be left off USA Basketball’s roster when the team goes to France this summer.
CNN writes that despite being one of the best players, Clark will be left of the Olympic team for a silly reason.
She just has too many fans.
USA Basketball’s roster for the women’s Olympic basketball team that will chase gold in Paris this summer will not include WNBA rookie sensation Caitlin Clark, according to CNN sports analyst Christine Brennan.
Brennan wrote in USA Today, citing three unnamed sources, that Clark’s omission from the team was due in part to “concern over how Clark’s millions of fans would react to what would likely be limited playing time on a stacked roster.”
The roster is expected to include WNBA stars and past Olympic champions Brittney Griner, Diana Taurasi, Breanna Stewart and nine others.
Last year, Griner said she would “never go overseas again” to play basketball – unless it’s for the Olympics – after being detained in Russia.
“If true, that would be an extraordinary admission of the existence of real tension that the old guard of women’s basketball harbors for this multimillion-dollar sensation,” Brennan added.
Clark has been the subject of vitriol from liberal sports commentators who claim that her success and popularity come from being white, not from being the fastest WNBA to ever score 200 points.
ESPN noted that “Clark, now a rookie with the Indiana Fever, has drawn millions of new fans to women’s basketball in her college career and now in her young WNBA career.
Jennifer Rizzotti, chair of the U.S. Women’s National Team Committee, declined comment.
Rosters across all sports for the Paris Games were due to the U.S. Olympic Committee by June 7 unless a sport’s trials are held after that date or a sport’s governing body requested an extension, which USA Basketball did, a source told ESPN. Technically, that gave the selection committee a little more time to monitor the start of the WNBA season if needed.”

The wnba and team America are made up of very small, pathetic, racists . It makes women look vindictive and childish. Jealousy is a pathetic emotion. I hope the people turn off the WNBA and maybe find some adults to watch.
