As Los Angeles continues to burn, every single botique obsession over social issues that California liberals have focused on, from DEI to “saving” fish, has come back to haunt them.
As reports flood in showing that they have run out of firefighters, it is now the obsession with the war in Ukraine’s to take its turn in revealing what New Conservative Post has labeled the Democratic competency problem.
In 2022, reported KTLA at the time, the Los Angeles County Fire Department sent its surplus supplies across the globe to Ukraine rather than keeping them for an emergency.
Boots, hoses, nozzles, body armor and medication were among the items packed and shipped out during an event earlier this week.
The care package was loaded at an L.A. County fire station in Inglewood on Thursday afternoon. Fire Chief Daryl Osby and county supervisor Janice Hahn were in attendance and helped pack up the items.
“As Ukrainian firefighters continue to work under extreme peril to remove victims with limited resources, we felt the need to step up and help in some way,” said Osby in a news release.
“It is our hope that this equipment will help Ukrainian first responders continue to save lives and help them in some small way to resist the Russian invasion,” said Hahn, who is the designated supervisor overseeing the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
The response to the emergency in Los Angeles has been one blunder after another. Despite warnings about the potential for a fire, Mayor Bass flew to Ghana on a vanity junket rather than stay and lead. When questioned about her absence by a reporter, she stood in complete science, unable to account for her actions.
‘Do you owe citizens an apology for being absent whilst their homes were burning? Do you regret cutting the fire department’s budget?

She followed up her disgraceful interview by then giving a press conference where she stumbled through a script, directing people in search of shelter or resources to visit “URL” instead of the website address.
NEW: Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass returns from Africa to a burning city and reads through an error-ridden script that doesn’t actually tell residents where to get help.
“If you need help, [all] of this can be found at URL.”
