Dan Goldman, the Democratic congressman from New York, is defending himself after making the decision to give guidance on how to handle encounters with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)—a move that has provoked an outcry from Republican lawmakers and conservative commentators who accuse him of undermining immigration enforcement to the benefit of those in the country illegally from China.
On Wednesday, Goldman released a series of tweets in Spanish and Chinese, asserting that “every New Yorker has rights when they interact with immigration enforcement.” In an accompanying video, he excoriated the Trump administration’s immigration policies—particularly its reliance on ICE raids, which he characterized as deliberate efforts to “intimidate migrant communities.” The message, according to his office, was intended primarily for American citizens and legal immigrants who, in their view, risk being wrongfully detained by ICE. Critics, however, argue that Goldman’s guidance functions as a blueprint for undocumented migrants seeking to evade federal authorities.

That did not go over well, writes The Daily Caller.
Goldman was accused by numerous X users of trying to shield criminal illegal aliens from deportations, which is a violation of federal law. Trump’s border czar Tom Homan told the Daily Caller News Foundation in December, “There are federal statutes on the books for knowingly concealing and harboring an illegal alien away from ICE officers. There are statutes on the books about impeding federal law enforcement officers – they’re all felonies.”
Goldman’s tweet included a video where the congressman lamented the Trump administration’s immigration enforcement policies, citing “raids” in New York City. He’s previously claimed ICE raids are about “intimidating migrant communities.”
“The Trump administration has carried out deportations, raids all across the country including here in New York City,” Rep. Goldman said during the video. “These are certainly uncertain times but no matter what it’s important that you know your rights when interacting with law enforcement.”
He proceeded to provide instructions on how to interact with ICE agents and linked to his website, which advised migrants on “mak[ing] a plan for ICE encounters.” It also linked to legal resources, including a Department of Justice (DOJ) link that provided a list of pro-bono legal service providers.
As a member of both the House Committee on Homeland Security and the Judiciary Committee, Goldman has been an unrelenting critic of stringent immigration policies. He was among the House Democrats who voted against the Laken Riley Act, a measure that would require ICE to detain undocumented immigrants arrested for theft-related offenses.
Goldman has proven to be one of the more radical Democrats. During the campaign, as members of his party called for him to lose his Secret Service protection, the New York congressman said that the Trump, then the frontrunner for the presidency, needed to be “eliminated.”

Goldman is disgusting even by Democrat standards.
In the cartel pocket right?
This clown IS directly interfering with the U.S. Immigration Service regulations. He is assisting immigrants, both legal and illegal in attempting to thwart the work of ICE. These are existing laws on the books. He should be arrested right now. l
