In what may soon mark the most significant overhaul of air travel infrastructure since the advent of e-ticketing, a United Nations-backed initiative is poised to render traditional airport check-ins and boarding passes obsolete. The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), an agency of the U.N. responsible for shaping global aviation standards, is preparing to implement a digital framework that would allow passengers to move through every stage of their journey using only a smartphone and facial recognition.
Central to this initiative is the Digital Travel Credential (DTC)—a secure, smartphone-based alternative to a physical passport. Rather than printing a boarding pass or checking in manually, travelers would receive a dynamic “journey pass” when booking their flight. This pass would update automatically and communicate directly with the airline once the passenger arrives at the airport, explains The Guardian.
Infrastructure upgrades at airports, including facial recognition technology and the ability to read a passport from a mobile device, would be needed for the plans to be carried out successfully.
“Many airline systems haven’t changed for more than 50 years because everything has to be consistent across the industry and interoperable,” said Viale.
The new technology could spark privacy concerns but Amadeus said it had developed a system where passengers’ details are wiped within 15 seconds of each contact with a “touchpoint” – such as the pre-security gates.
The implications of such a shift are sweeping. No longer tethered to physical documentation or even digital boarding passes, travelers would pass through biometric checkpoints where facial recognition systems would verify identity using passport data stored on their device. Companies like Amadeus, a leading player in travel technology, are helping lead the charge.
“We’re moving away from legacy airline systems to technology modeled after major platforms like Amazon,” Valérie Viale, the firm’s director of product management told the news outlet. She called the effort “the biggest transformation in half a century.”
Left unmentioned would by what these companies could do with facial recognition or whether they could simply take your ticket for any reason.
The proposal faces considerable logistical and technical headwinds. Global adoption would require synchronized cooperation between governments, airports, airlines, and private-sector technology providers. Infrastructure upgrades—particularly in older or underfunded airports—will be costly, and ensuring system interoperability across countries is no small feat. Advocates argue that the benefits to efficiency and security outweigh the challenges, but acknowledge the rollout must be accompanied by stringent data protection and transparent safeguards.

The U.N. IS A SOCIALIST/COMMUNIST operation that has no authority internationally to do anything of value for the globe. The latest global disaster, “mass migration” is just the latest of it’s communistic plays. Instead of using it’s “blue caps” to arrest and remove dictators in these failing countries to help the citizens, the U.N. decided to start the mass migration program that is now destroying every indepenent western style nation. America is finally fighting back aganst this boderless wet dream of the Left. All of Europe is suffering . They too will have to take action. The best way to end this nonsense is to end the U.N.. America can do it alone simply by ending all funding to the U.N. It will quickly collapse. Kick it out of New York. The U.N. has never accomplished any of it’s vocalized goals. Liberal socialism cannot co-exist with freedom. Americans know this. The E.U. will learn very soon.
Very 666 for sure, scary
