Harvard is once again facing objection for being completely off the rails. The university’s decision to feature Yurong “Luanna” Jiang as a 2025 commencement speaker has ignited a firestorm of criticism, with detractors accusing the university of whitewashing ties to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) under the guise of global inclusion. Jiang, a graduate of the Harvard Kennedy School, delivered a speech on “shared humanity” at the May 29 ceremony. But her past affiliation with a CCP-linked environmental group—and her family’s deep financial ties to it—has raised alarms about foreign influence at America’s most prestigious university.
According to an investigation by The Daily Caller, Jiang volunteered from 2018 to 2022 with the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF), an organization nominally dedicated to environmental causes but long suspected of serving as a proxy for CCP soft power operations. U.S. government and independent watchdogs have linked the CBCGDF to China’s United Front Work Department—a central hub for Beijing’s global influence campaigns—and to a Chinese military contractor. Jiang’s father, Jiang Zhiming, is reportedly a senior figure within the group and a major donor. Compounding the controversy, her commencement appearance was reportedly backed by a recommendation from the group’s secretary-general, who himself maintains longstanding ties to the Chinese state.
Critics argue Harvard’s platforming of Jiang represents more than a lapse in judgment—it reflects a pattern of dangerous indifference to national security. “Harvard is betraying its mission and the country,” warned China scholar Gordon Chang. “If this continues, maybe it’s time to reconsider the privileges Harvard enjoys under its federal charter.” For Chang and others, the incident underscores broader concerns about the erosion of institutional integrity at elite universities amid rising foreign entanglements.
This isn’t Harvard’s first brush with scandal involving China. In 2021, a prominent chemistry professor was convicted for lying about his participation in China’s Thousand Talents recruitment program. More recently, the House Select Committee on the CCP flagged Harvard for its reported collaboration with a paramilitary group tied to human rights violations. The ensuing uproar prompted a brief suspension of Harvard’s ability to host international students—a sanction that was later reversed by court order, but not without public embarrassment.
Once held up as a paragon of intellectual seriousness and academic independence, the university is increasingly portrayed as a vessel for ideological accommodation—whether in response to donor pressures, international politics, or bureaucratic groupthink. Harvard, like many of its peers, has become known for taking millions from foreign governments while its campus has grown more and more intolerant.
The White House has recently cracked down on its alleged breaking of civil rights law. In response to potential cuts from the federal government, if it doesn’t reform, the university threatened to kill animals in its medical research labs.

Harvard stands with China & Palestine
Harvards entanglements with the CCP should be enough to deem it a Chinese Communist agency. All foreign students must be deeply vetted by DHS . Harvard has been operating using academics as it’s disguise for many decades. This is a communits org operating on U.S. soil and that goes against the U.S. Constitution.
