Report: Harris Campaign Paid LeBron Money For Endorsement

Kamala Harris’s presidential campaign paid NBA superstar LeBron James’s media company $50,000 for a campaign-related video production, according to newly released finance records. The payment went to SpringHill Entertainment, the firm James co-founded, just days after he posted a viral video attacking Donald Trump and endorsing Harris, according to a report from The Washington Free Beacon.

James’s Oct. 31 video—titled “Hate Takes Us Back”was shared across his massive social media accounts, which reach over 200 million followers. The video blended emotional footage with audio clips from Trump, drawing fire from critics who said it was edited to unfairly link the former president to white supremacy. One scene showed a chant of “We love Hitler, we love Trump” paired with a close-up of Trump’s face, alongside a reference to former KKK leader David Duke’s past support—support Trump disavowed in 2016.

“When I think about my kids and my family and how they will grow up, the choice is clear to me. VOTE KAMALA HARRIS!!!” James wrote on Instagram and X.

Despite the campaign’s payment, James never appeared at any official Harris events. His company didn’t comment to the outlet regarding what services were provided. The filing labeled the expense as “campaign event production,” but the specifics remain vague.

The $50,000 fee is one of several celebrity-related payments drawing scrutiny in the wake of Harris’s historic loss. Her campaign reportedly spent more than a billion in 2024—more than any Democratic campaign in history.

Other big-ticket celebrity expenses included, according to The Free Beacon:

  • $165,000 to Beyoncé’s company for a rally appearance.
  • Over $1 million to Oprah Winfrey’s firm for a TV interview in Chicago.
  • $58,000 listed for Cardi B—who later denied being paid and said she covered her own costs.

Florida-based Democratic donor John Morgan told Newsweek that the vice president’s disaster campagin was filled with grifters: “A lot of people got rich on the back of donors trying to stop Trump. If you can’t run a campaign, you can’t run America.”

The campaign also steered more than $5 million to leftwing advocacy groups, including $500,000 to a nonprofit led by MSNBC’s Al Sharpton. Sharpton later interviewed Harris on-air without disclosing the financial tie, prompting criticism from media watchdogs.

explained.

As Harris eyes a possible run for California governor, her campaign’s finances are becoming a case study in what not to do when the stakes are high and the outcome is historic.
