In a recent appearance on Katie Couric’s podcast, Gwen Walz, wife of Minnesota Governor and Democratic vice presidential hopeful Tim Walz, defended the initiative to provide free menstrual products in school restrooms.
You see, Tim put tampons in the boys room because that helps kids learn to read.
This legislation, signed by her husband, has drawn criticism and earned him the nickname “Tampon Tim” from some conservative voices. Walz argued that offering such products addresses a fundamental barrier to learning, likening it to providing food for hungry students.
“If kids are hungry in school, what that does to brain and learning, you’re not going to learn to read,” Walz stated. “So if you’re talking about learning to read and closing gaps, then you better take away the barriers for that. If that’s tampons, then that’s tampons, right?”
Gwen Walz thinks that tampons not being in boys restrooms is a barrier to reading? This lady REALLY is CRAZY! pic.twitter.com/L1E8YX97WU

The legislation in question mandates that menstrual products be made available to all menstruating students in grades 4 through 12, including in boys’ restrooms where applicable, depending on district planning. This move, meant to ensure inclusivity, has led to both support and criticism. Walz explained that her and her husband’s approach to governance centers on removing barriers to educational success, whether that means providing free lunches or menstrual products, explained Fox News.
“Tim and I have always thought about removing barriers to learning and success, and whatever that barrier is… everyone means everyone,” she emphasized. She added that equity often looks different for different individuals but that everyone deserves support tailored to their needs.
Critics have suggested that a better way to teach reading in schools would be to provide books to students rather than putting tampons in the boys restroom.
Good grief – if a student hasn’t learned basic reading skills by the 4th grade that is an indictment of the quality of instruction at the lower grade levels. Putting menstrual products in those schools Will Not suddenly make those students able to read at grade level. ‘perhaps’ a better use of those funds would be to invest in remedial reading programs.
NOT bragging but by the time I hit 4th grade I’d read just about everything in our library because I LEARNED to read and appreciate what it does for learning. BTW I still read an average of a book a week or more.
Tampons to boost reading??
So, Walz’s wife is just as much a lunatic as the man himself. I’m thinking when an person shows such of an obsession with China that obsession needs to be followed to it’s ultimate. First should this guy be required to register as a Chinese agent ?? Then the question posted over a month ago concerning some Michigan National Guard classified documents related to Howitzer artillery used by the U.S. military was missing. It magically reappeared back in it’s proper place right after Walz returned from a trip to China. Walz is one of very few people who had access to the document. As I said this is “classified information concerning Howitzer ability to launch nuclear weapons. I think Walz needs to be “waterboarded” to find out what he had to do with the document.
Douchin’ in the boys room.
Can they read the word”Kotex”?
